...also, so far anyway, JD Drew looks like a real upgrade in that 5-hole spot in the order.

Plus, Manny hasn't even got started yet...

(now if we can just get Coco Crisp back to his old self a la Cleveland from a couple years ago....)

Good point!

But so far it seems he's mixing his pitches better this year...working in the curve from time to time instead of just relying on his fastball.

Agreed, but us Yankee fans need something to cling to at this point in the season!

Now how did I know you were a Yankees fan? ;-)

Every time I hear about the supposed "demise" of the Yanks, I'm wary. Yes, Moose and Pavano are on the DL, but w/that line-up you have (1-9 the best in the game), your other pitches don;t have to be great, or even especially good--just competent enough to keep the other team to 4 or 5 runs....b/c that line up will score in huge buckets, much as I hate to admit it.

the Yankers will be among the mix at the end...I just hope my Sox stay healthy enough and have what it takes to beat 'em at the finish line.

Haven't you been saying that since 1995? ;)

The pitching worries me more this year than most. Need to get through the next few weeks without losing a lot of ground. The bullpen (except Farns) looks terrific. Just need pitchers to go six and keep it close. This offense will (and has) killed opposing bullpens.

Of course, Roger can always fill a nice size void in the rotation come July.. :)

Roger in pinstripes again worries the hell out of me. If you don't come to Boston, PLEASE stay in Houston!
